Refund Policy
Last updated July 4, 2026
Tickets on Mainroom are sold by event organizers, and refunds are the organizer's decision — Mainroom provides the tools but doesn't set individual organizers' policies.
How refunds work
- When an organizer refunds an order, the buyer gets back the full amount paid — ticket price and the Mainroom service fee included.
- Refunds return to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
- Refunded tickets are voided immediately and will not scan at the door.
Cancelled events
If an event is cancelled, ticket sales stop immediately. We expect organizers to refund all buyers of a cancelled event, and the dashboard makes that a one-click action per order. If an organizer refuses to refund a cancelled event, contact us and we'll help escalate, including through Stripe's dispute process.
Requesting a refund as a buyer
Reply to your ticket email or contact the organizer directly (their event page is the fastest route). If you can't reach the organizer, email tickets@shovelware.ai with your ticket code and we'll connect you.
Disputes
You can always dispute a charge with your card issuer, but please try the organizer first — it's faster for everyone. Chargebacks are handled by Stripe and the organizer as merchant of record.
